Lockdown 2 (day 5)

See? Missed a day already. Put it down to ‘health reasons’, AKA spending most of the day on the sofa. I did manage to sort the shower temp control and cook dinner (chilli) but the rest of the day went past without me noticing.

Much more energetic today, did a couple of hours woodwork AND sorted GOBA News mailing list (I think).

Would have been my dad’s 102 birthday today, if he hadn’t died at 68. Named Victor due to being born on the day before the 1918 Armistice. History is always with us. When I was at school we had an ancient history master who could remember being a child at the outbreak of WW1. According to him the old people then were surprised we were fighting the Germans. They had heard how the Germans were our allies in defeating Napoleon.
